Bathroom Remodel

With a second baby on way, these homeowners desired to convert an extra bedroom into a tranquil, elegant and functional master bath. An earlier addition of a master bedroom had left the spare room without windows or exterior doors. The homeowners wanted to eliminate an existing door to a hall and make the new master bath that was only accessible from their master bedroom. A large shower, jetted tub, 2 sinks, a private commode space and a large closet were also required.

A frameless glass shower enclosure, granite counters, black cherry cabinets with hidden pull-out drawers behind the doors are several of the features of the new master bath. We were able to keep the existing hardwood floors by repairing and refinishing them. The shower features a seat and recessed shelf on the fixture wall. The tub deck has beautiful black cherry removable panels that match the cabinetry at the sinks. The 2 recessed mirrors also function as medicine cabinets above the vanity and feature an outlet in one.

Finishing this project on time meant delivering a complete and satisfactory product before the homeowners delivered their baby. The design made the most out of an unused space and brought their dreams of an elegant master bath to fruition.

This project won the 2008 National Association of the Remodeling Industry, Dallas, Contractor Of The Year award for a bathroom $30,000 to $60,000.
